Gallery Issue Entry Form

The Gallery Issue is an extra biannual journal issue sent to members, available at our retail outs, and for back issue ordering. We are aiming to release the Gallery Issue close to September 1, 2006. Artists selected for the issue will receive one complimentary copy and can purchase additional copies for the cover price of $8 plus shipping.

Members submit up to 3 pieces with one detail for each piece (if needed). The slides will be judged on how well they address the theme and the quality of the image for reproduction. Space allows for approximately 100 slides to be chosen. All slides will be turned over to the SDA Slide Library and will not be returned to the artist.

The theme of the issue is Breaking New Ground. Description: A Presentation of new directions in materials, techniques, and applications; fresh interpretations of textile traditions; creative reflections of current societal issues. The jurors are: Joan Schulze, artist, Suzanne Baizerman, curator of crafts at the Oakland Museum, and Jo Ann Stabb, senior lecturer emeritus from UC Davis
