Felted Jacket
When
I entered the business world, I did not understand the dynamics
of a sale. I became director and salesperson for the Circle Fine
Art Corporation, a national publishing company with art galleries
across the country. The company provided a professional trainer
who taught the steps of a sale, an invaluable experience that I
have used ever since.
In
this workshop participants will learn how to:
- Gain
confidence in presenting your work
- Know
you work inside and out and how to explain it to a client
- Establish
a comfortable relationship with a client
- Listen
effectively
- Learn
when to “call for the question” (ask for the sale)
- Overcome
common objections like “I can't afford it”
- Create
the sale
We
will also discuss how you look, how you act, the look of your booth
and what shows to apply for according to the type of work that you
do.
Role
playing exercises will be an important part of the day's work. You
will learn to be comfortable speaking with your prospective client,
leading to that sale.
I
have been self employed as a knitwear designer for twenty years
participating in ACC Baltimore, Philidelphia Craft Show and the
Smithsonian Craft Show.
