Advertising Rates

Surface Design Journal is produced by offset process and perfect bound, 175 line screen. For black and white ads, submit camera-ready, professionally prepared black and white artwork with typeset copy. We prefer reproduction proofs on good quality white repro stock, or veloxes, or PMT. Half-tones (screened) and high quality laser copies are acceptable. For black and white ads with an image or logo, follow the color ad requiements.

For color ads, acceptable programs are QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator. File Types should be: QuarkXpress, TIFF, or ESP. Send on CD, 3.5 Floppy, or Zip Disk All PC files should be converted to Macintosh readable files. If there is a problem with your disk or file, we will require that you pay for Fed Exing your corrected disk to our Hong Kong printer. So please make sure your file contains all fonts and images required and check that the file on the disk is in working order. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL FILES. Send disk with file and fonts, and printout/proof to the Midpine address below.

For spot color ads, send either the color code or a sample of the color desired with percentage of saturation indicated. Photos are printed at a 175 line screen.

Advertisers will be billed upon publication; all accounts are payable within 30 days of billing. Outstanding accounts will be considered delinquent after 60 days and will be subject to 10% interest penalty on the unpaid balance.

Surface Design Journal reserves the right to refuse any advertisement which, in the publisher's view, does not conform to the standards of Surface Design Association. All advertisers and advertising agencies shall assume liability for any claims arising therefrom against the publisher.
