Student Breakout with Sheila Pepe

Young artists, undergraduates and graduates alike, often struggle when discussing their own work or the work of their peers. Developing strong descriptive and interpretive skills can open up meaning that expands new frames of perception, possibility, creativity and invention.

Each participating artist will bring a work sample (swatch, image, video or photographic still or sculpture) as a starting point for discussion to generate new ways of talking about work and strategies for opening interpretive potential, verbally and creatively.

Participation is limited to students and emerging artist that are enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program art or design program at the time of application, or within 5 years of graduation.

Participating student/emerging artists will receive specific details prior to the Conference.
