Re:loom, a non-profit organization in Atlanta, teaches weaving to at-risk / homeless individuals, proving art & craft can be transformative.
Increase your visibility in the worldwide community of creators by completing a personal profile here. As a benefit of membership, you can create a profile page including headshot, short bio, 2 images of your work, and links to your website or blog. For an additional $25, members may add 10 more images, artist's statement, resume, and links to additional websites.
Our new Image Library archives every image posted in the Member Directory and is fully searchable via technique, material, genre and member name. Get your latest work in front of curators, collectors, SDA members and other makers for maximum exposure. Images may also be downloaded to create digital presentations that promote surface designers--so get in the picture!
In 2011, SDA will fund over $20,000 in grants and awards distributed to members. These funds support personal developement, undergraduate and graduate student achievement, SDA-sponsored events, and conference scholarships. View the work of the SDA Award Recipients here.
