The eNews is e-mailed monthly to members who provide their e-mail addresses. If you are a member and do not currently receive the eNews, update your email address by contacting info [at] surfacedesign [dot] org.

SDA NewsBlog
The NewsBlog of the Surface Design Association replaced the formerly printed and snail-mailed SDA Newsletter on June 1, 2010. This 21st century reincarnation of the newsletter—now paperless and eco-friendly—eliminates printing and mailing costs. Although everyone understands that some members would prefer to hold the old printed, paper newsletter in their hands, the state-of-the-art custom blog format is a textile-focused portal that brings the infinite resources of the world wide web to each member's fingertips and eyes.
Blog is short for web log; thus the NewsBlog is located on the SDA website. The customizable WordPress software was chosen because it enables a user-friendly experience focused on the visual and interactive.
The NewsBlog publishes image-driven stories about members, plus articles on a wide range of topics. Its features include:
- Spotlight on members' latest accomplishments
- Regular columns on studio practice and the business and process of creativity
- Profiles of SDA members, Representatives and Ambassadors
- Reviews of community events like international conferences
