The SDA Award is given by the judge and acknowledges outstanding exhibited works that incorporate surface design. Surface design is the coloring, patterning, structuring and transformation of fabric, fiber and other materials. The award seeks to encourage exploration, innovation, and cultivation of diverse perspectives.
