Guidelines for Submitting Content

eNews publishes short announcements (including 1 image) of international/national calls for entry, exhibitions of interest and other opportunities.

NewsBlog publishes image-driven stories about SDA members, programs and other topics of interest (including recently published members' books and awards received).


Image Submission Guidelines

  • jpeg ONLY
  • No more than 600 pixels in any dimension
  • 72 –150 dpi

Images that do not conform to these specifications cannot be considered.


Image File Names

  • Files must be named with YOUR last name, KEYWORD from subject, specific identifier (other maker's name or title of piece) and image number (where it should appear in the story/text).
  • Example: YourLastName_Exhibition_Untitled_1.jpeg

Captions

  • Captions MUST be submitted with images, in the following format:
  • Name of maker, Title, Date, Size, Materials/Technique, Photo by (Name)
  • All captions must be included at the bottom of your press release.

Embedded URLS/Links

  • ALL relevant URL/web addresses for a website, blog, or any other site mentioned in the press release/text must be included at the bottom of the release.
  • Make sure the URL links to the exact page where information appears—not to a homepage, which forces the reader to search for it.

Biography

  • Include a 75-100 word bio and a headshot along with any relevant links to your website or blog.
