Wool, Hand-painted Wool Gauze, Wool/Rayon and Silk Fabrics, Novelty Yarn, Polyester Ribbon Varying items and sizes
I purchased a couple of hand-dyed woolen shawls from a long time Kyoto artist friend Saitoh Hiroshi because I had never incorporated his work before. Bit by bit, I cut into the fabric for an accent section, finally there was nothing left of the shawls but new garments appeared resulting in vest and skirt ensembles!

Wool, Woolen, Silk and Cotton Fabrics, Novelty Yarns Scribbles (framed) 35 x 37 x 2.8 cm; Graffiti Lap Blanket 126 x 139 cm
These framed "Scribbles" were jotted down in a small scale. Here the series was used as the departure ticket for the much larger "Graffiti" Lap Blankets/ Wall Works, wherein scale is paramount, as the titles suggest. This pair received the Kyoto Mayoral Award at an International Art and Design Exhibition.
