This style of the pieced fabrics is called a "Crazy Quilt" because all of the pieces are random shapes and sizes unlike traditional symmetrical patchwork quilts. After the fabrics are pieced together I begin to embellish the work with new and found fibers, beads, wire, plastics, etc. in a way that enriches the surface of the piece.
