Swinging Leaf, 2018
found objects, steel, silk, rain water, rust, natural pigments, welding 23x45x18"
This piece was one of five installation that were hung at the recycled rain exhibit. Each piece had to use rain water in some way and these pieces incorporated rain water as a means to create the dyes and mineral pigments. I was focused on leaf shapes and ways in which to capture the colors as they shift.
