Felt Textures: Combining Wool Fiber, Fabric, Small Objects & Free-motion Embroidery with Lisa Klakulak

Explore a myriad of structural surface design techniques to enliven your felting and empower your understanding. Learn to repeat effects or to modify and achieve desired outcomes. Create dimensional playgrounds for free-motion embroidery using extremely thin and thick layouts of wool fiber layered with partially felted sheets of handmade felt, a variety of types of fabric, and the use of resists. Featured are a series of demonstrations, structured studies and inspired experimentations with an emphasis on process, theory and developing an aesthetic rather than a functional end product.
