Image Statement: As a girl, I devoured the books by Marguerite Henry, about Misty of Chincoteague. I found the notion of wild ponies living on a coast island, a wildly romantic notion, for a horse-crazy girl like me. This was made for the Virginia Quilt Museum semi-quincentennial exhibit opening in July 2026.
