Image Statement: Enclosed is part of a series of dyed mono prints using enclosed or ovoid forms as a starting point. I began drawing into thickened dye and printing on silk, Layers of patterns were printed next, then direct drawing with dye. Previously dyed silk organza was layered on to the piece and the surface was embellish with stitching beads and couched thread. This womb like form feels safely enclosed.
