Image Statement: Fractured Lives (2023) is a part of my Missing Pieces series about loss. Using self-designed laser cut puzzle pieces allows me to speak to the interrelatedness of our lives as well as complexities of dealing with the gun violence that plagues our nation. So many lives have been lost and families fractured by the unnecessary and indiscriminate access to assault weapons that our current law allows. We are beyond being able to count or even adequately cope with such loss.
