Image Statement: This work began with an intuitive process-cutting and sewing organza fabric into shapes that at first seemed to correspond to organs in the body-lungs, kidneys, intestines, stomach. It reflected my study of the body in Chi Kung (ancient /Chinese yoga). Upon further reflection I realized the forms were also inspired by my many walks in the woods where vines, trees, plant life are woven together into a live tapestry. The body's organs and those of the forest related and inextricably linked.
