Image Statement: I am fascinated by ancient Sumer, approx. 2650 B.C. in the area of modern Iraq. These images are based on the Tel Asmar figurines in the University of Penn Museum. Images from that period often have oversized staring eyes, so I added dolls eyeballs to enhance the artwork.
