Image Statement: I find the images of the smoke spewing industrial stacks ominous. I dgitally printed the stacks on sheer silk organza along with shibori, hand screened silks to create this piece. Some are dyed greens that reference Sheele’s arsenic based dye. This collage ties together my sense of the dangers of the Victorian and later Industrial revolution and luxurious wealth.
