Art x Climate Conversation with Linda Gass

Linda Gass will be in conversation with artist Xavier Cortada and Climate Scientist Kris May as part of the US Global Change Research Program and the Exploratorium After Dark program exploring the power of art to communicate and inspire action on climate change. In addition to our conversation, there will be poetry, performance and artworks on display. Linda’s artwork “The Living Shoreline Project,” a community engaged land art installation made from California native plants marking the former shoreline of San Francisco Bay is featured in Art x Climate, the first ever art gallery included in the Fifth National Climate Assessment, a comprehensive government report assessing the latest science on climate adaptation and mitigation including issues of social systems and justice, western wildfires and COVID-19.
