FIBERS, a juried visual arts exhibition

The City of Claremont invites artists to submit textile work for its FIBERS public art juried exhibition. The juried exhibition will feature the work of artists pushing mediums beyond traditional representations, exploring innovative ideas and daring contrasts, representing this moment in time.
FIBERS honors the intertwined elements of creative expression, celebrates the unexpected, and fosters unity by inviting introspection and observation through the woven nature of the material.
This exhibit is open to work using textiles such as fabric, yarn, and natural and synthetic fibers. A few examples include; soft sculpture, fibers as fashion, quilting and felting.
Judges are looking for artwork of imaginative quality, originality, unity of idea, connection to the theme, technical proficiency, and experimentation that challenges the use of the medium.
Artists selected to exhibit will receive an honorarium, and artists may choose to sell their piece(s).
