Pearl Red Moon uses only fabrics sourced from thrift shops and garage sales in her local area to re-make into wearable art. The salvaged textiles are altered through processes such as patchwork, stenciling, screenprinting, applique and decorative stitching by hand and sewing machine. Each garment is constructed from what were previously mundane materials transformed into an exquisite and intriguing item of wearable art.
