Sampling Weave Structures with a Frame Loom
Working with a variety of yarns, come learn how to sample weave structures with a small frame loom. The possibilities are endless! We will explore mixing color, texture and yarn weight to create pieces of woven fabric that can be used as a starter for future projects or for smaller, finished pieces. Topics such as reading drafts, determining sett, and project planning will be discussed. Because we will be working on small frame looms much of the patterning will be done using a pick up method but you will also learn how to use a heddle bar and create harnesses for your looms. You will leave the workshop with your own frame loom so you can continue to explore at home. Beginner and Beyond
