Tactile Sensibility: A Weaving Workshop
Instructor: Brittany Wittman McLaughlin
Get motivated and inspired to focus on weaving as a creative process by exploring a variety of materials. Inspired by the iconic artist and designer Anni Albers, this workshop will expand your vocabulary in the tactile language of weaving. You will create your own woven pieces on pre-warped looms, using a variety of techniques, beautiful yarns, and other materials. Using images of texture from nature as a starting point, you will interpret the pictures into woven compositions. The instructors newly published book, Tactile Sensibility: A Weaving Workbook, will be the foundation for this learning journey at the loom. Beginner and Beyond
