“Time Unbound” is a presentation of work by members of the Art Cloth Network (ACN) celebrating their 20th year anniversary. This exhibition explores the medium of cloth through a combination of two of their annual juried collections, “Full Circle” and “Unbound”.
It represents the full range of artistic voices working within ACN, examining the limits of cloth, questioning and testing the definition by exploring new materials and ways of working. “Full Circle” was curated by Tracy Krumm, the Director of Artistic Advancement at the Textile Center in Minneapolis, MN. Michael James, a widely-known fiber artist, professor and Department Chair at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln was the curator of “Unbound.”
The Art Cloth Network is a diverse group of professional artists from the United States and Canada who have come together with a common goal – to promote the medium of cloth as an art form and share it with others. Each of our members brings a personal vision and sensibility to their cloth. The group was formed in 2000 to provide a support forum as well as exhibition opportunities for its members and to promote an appreciation of art cloth in the broader community.
