Weaving Wool in Naturally Dyed Hues with Wendy Weiss
Learn about plant dye on wool, exploring how to maximize color in a limited palette of colors gathered from nature, while you play with a multi-shaft loom. Achieve a sumptuous array of colors in an ikat influenced dyed set of stripes on a single warp. Explore weave structures on a four or eight harness loom and learn how to read a draft from a collection provided in class and develop your own modifications. You will combine a variety of weave structures and weft colors using your specific threading to weave up a soft, colorful shawl. Intermediate
