Structured Chaos, 2022
Mixed Fabrics with Hand Embroidery 19 x 24
Using simple stitches and relying heavily on fabric repair traditions from Japan and India, I take old and discarded cloth and make new artifacts. Each stitch, repairing the old cloth and joining one piece to another, is a statement of my belief that what is broken can be repaired and what is separate can be connected.

Glory, 2021
Mixed Fabric Collage 72 x 27
“The heavens declare the glory of God; The skies proclaim the work of his hands” -Psalm 19:1 I have spent the last several years photographing the evening sky behind my house. Every day I see different colors, patterns, and textures. Each sunset is unique to its particular day. And as day transitions to night I see the glory of God shining in those colors, patterns, and textures, reminding me of his hand at work here on earth.
