Traveling Turtles on Tour, 2023
Fabric, glass eyes, pipe cleaners, fiber fill, metal armatures 24 x 14
This piece started with 9 fabric turtles and expanded to 22 turtles for the effect desired. The body, head and legs have wires inside to make them moveable and each turtle has glass eyes (in varying colors). Metal armatures with extending wires were inserted into holes drilled into the board to keep the turtles in place.
