Image Statement: Inspired by natural forms of rock strata, tree roots and organic growths, and the colors of the African earth where I grew up. I am fascinated by the aging process and the beauty in decay. Eco dyed rescued fabric is made into "poufs" which are embellished and then rust dyed. These are assembled and stitched onto a hardware cloth form. The assembled sculpture is adorned with manmade jewelry and fabric flowers. An interaction of nature and man to create beauty!
