Materials: Polyester fleece, repurposed fabric, D-rings
Dimensions: 3' x 5' x 2'
Image Statement: The idea: create a winter garment that is as warm as possible without using fur. Using the idea that the hairs in fur act as tiny pillars of insulation, this coat was built to retain warmth by attaching materials to the liner so that they would rest perpendicular to the wearer. The fleece was cut from a stack of samples, most of which were marked with a white paint pen. Evidence of these marks shows up on the cut sides of the rolls, which adds to the surface patterns.
