This workshop will introduce you to doubleweave, or weaving two layers of cloth on the loom at the same time. You will begin by designing and winding the warp. We will then cover dressing the loom, threading, and the treadle tie-ups. Participants will start with samples to see the different ways the doublecloth can interact; separate layers, doublewidth, tubes, and blocks. The focus will be on sampling and experimentation.
