Flower Power Bias-Strip Curves, with Sherri Lynn Wood
Get your bias-strip Flower Power curve on! Students at Quilting by the Lake conference will tap into their intuitive sense of color as you learn a variety of grid busting tricks for improvising and piecing large-scale floral and nature inspired compositions with the innovative ruler-free technique of bias-strip piecing on the curve and s-curve. Leave with a FLOWER POWER masterpiece ready to quilt. Imagine the possibilities!
Cost: $720 for the class; optional dorm accommodations start at $675
Quilting by the Lake is an annual two-week art quilt conference held on the Wells College campus and run by Schweinfurth Art Center. Workshops run 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Students check in to their dorms and move into classrooms on the Sunday before the workshop begins. There is a welcome dinner with a lecture Sunday night.
