Come learn how to design and weave a traditional rug using the basic weave, interlocks, and diagonal techniques with aniline and natural dyed yarns. You will work on pre-warped, upright Navajo style looms which you can bring home with you after the workshop. Various Navajo rug styles will be shared along with a brief history of the Navajo culture. Ideas will be provided on how to plan and incorporate various designs in a rug as well as how to resolve problems that you may encounter. No prior experience is necessary.
