This exhibition is an Installation of textile panels that illustrate through photographs and textiles the variety of women’s work during the last 150 years. The 17+ panels are displayed on a clothesline with clothespins, further illustrating the concept of women’s work (laundry). The vintage photographs are hand- colored and printed on cotton. Embellishments of vintage textiles and trims as well as my own hand painted and printed textiles are added to further illustrate the theme. The project was begun in 2021, and l continue to add panels. The panels vary in size from 14”x20” to 15”x56”.
