Image Statement: In the triptych, “Diamond Rain and Volcanic Ice”, I explore the layered dynamics of diamonds and ice within the dense gas planets of our solar system. I imagine diamonds melting and falling as “rain” under extreme pressures and temperatures on Jupiter and Saturn. In contrast, I envision their moons where cryovolcanoes erupt with icy plumes of water, methane, and ammonia, creating a striking tension between fiery intensity and frozen expanse.
