Sarah Urist Green is an Indianapolis-based curator, art educator, and author. Green created the PBS web series The Art Assignment,which has garnered over 40 million views, and is the host and consulting producer for Crash Course Art History. Her book, You Are an Artist, features assignments from innovative artists, inspiring readers to engage with their own creativity. Her curatorial work has been instrumental in shaping public art spaces, including her time as the contemporary art curator at the Indianapolis Museum of Art where she helped develop The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. Currently, she focuses on impactful public art through her organization, Monumental Gestures. Green holds degrees from Northwestern University and Columbia University.
