Curious Maximalist is a solo exhibition by Andrea Dupree featuring hand-felted sculptural wall pieces alongside textile-based assemblages created from felt, vintage textiles, and thoughtfully gathered objects. Through wet and needle felting, Dupree transforms wool and plant fibers into tactile forms that reflect on transformation, memory, collecting, and our relationships with the natural world. Harvested rainwater plays an integral role in her felting process, connecting the act of making to cycles of care and ecological stewardship. Opening August 21 at Little Bites Gallery in Santa Fe, the exhibition invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover new stories within everyday materials.
