Jane Ingram Allen will travel to Taiwan in October 2026 for the first Tainan Art Biennale that will feature some of the 34 handmade paper artworks she created in Taiwan during her two years as a Fulbright Scholar Award artist (2003-04 and 2004-05) that are now in the collection of the Tainan Art Museum, Tainan, Taiwan. Four of Jane’s handmade paper artworks created in Taiwan that are in the Tainan Art Museum collection will be exhibited in the upcoming 2026 Tainan Art Biennale exhibition, and will be installed at a satellite site in Tainan Park.

Jane’s trip to Taiwan will be Oct. 18 – Nov. 8, 2026, and she will install an exhibition titled “Re-Cycle” of selected handmade paper artworks that are now in the Tainan Art Museum’s collection, plus some small works to be created during the hands-on workshop for local participants she will teach Oct. 25-26, 2026, in Tainan. This project is part of the Tainan Biennale Exhibition, and international Forum.

The Tainan Biennale Exhibition opens on Oct. 31, 2026, and remains on view till March 1, 2027. Jane will attend the Tainan Art Biennale opening on Oct. 31, 2026, and also speak at the International Craft Forum held in conjunction with the Biennale at the Tainan Art Museum on Nov. 7, 2026.
