A Pixel is a Thread, a Pattern a Cloth, a Textile a Memory, 2021
Digital Artwork 30 x 56 pixels
Reminiscent of a children’s word book, each frame displays the name of a weave, its weave structure, and the name of a familiar item woven in that structure. The name of the weave expands vocabulary, and the visual representation of structure prompts the viewer to notice patterns that surround them. The familiar item speaks to one’s memories. Touring Exhibit, Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Photo and video credit: Robert Hengeveld, The Cloud Factory Artist Run Center.
