Ready to Grow, 2022
wool, velvet, copper, oak. iron, natural dyes 32”w x 32”d x 68.5”h
This piece was created using a proto-type for an installation and an oak tree that continues to grow in my very small backyard, no matter that I cut it down each year. The resilience of the tree and the way if spreads it’s branches and leaves is an inspiration. It was created towards the end of the Covid restrictions years, when it was time to reach out, expand and experience the world again.
