Past, Present and Future Connections, 2020
Free-form weaving with hand-dyed yarn and threads. Wire wrapped frame. 60" x 45" x 7"
This piece was free-form woven to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote. It is see-through, as transparent as our relationships should be, and purposely shaped like a flag moving with the wind. There are 36 stars abstractly woven to represent the 36 states needed to ratify the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution in 1920.

Threads of Connection, 2021
Hand knit with merino and other materials. Hand embroidery on linen. 12' x 8' x 8"
This hand-knit and woven piece was inspired by Anais Nin's "Ladders of Fire", 1959. "She was weaving and sewing and mending because he carried in himself no thread of connection ... of continuity or repair ... She sewed ... so that the warmth would no seep out of their day together, the soft interskin of their relationship."

Nesting IV, 2022

This series aims to bring our attention to the beauty and fragility of nature. Each nest's form is designed at various levels of abstraction yet they all evoke a safe, familiar space, embracing without constraining.

Felt Seascapes, 2024
Wet felted merino roving and recycled silk threads 4.5' x 18'
Depicting South Florida's seascapes in a way that mimics the hazy and swirling visuals one sees when about to fall asleep. By creating these almost dream-like images, the idea is to communicate that we need to take better care of our natural environments, before they become ephemeral.

Brushstrokes, 2025
Hand dyed merino wool "paint strokes" on linen. 59" x 57"
Brushstrokes is my personal interpretation of the work of Joaquin Torres Garcia, a fellow Uruguayan artist, born in Montevideo nearly 90 years before me. The geometric abstraction at the heart of Torres Garcia's Universal Constructivism influenced my composition, which is built from "brushstrokes" of wool yarn applied to linen.

Overflowing Dreams, 2022
Hand-dyed merino wool applied and embroidered onto linen. Acrylic paint 8' x 8' (3 pieces)
When I first moved to Miami, FL I was plagued with nightmares of floods and rising tides. These panels are a reflection of those Overflowing Dreams, and an attempt to speak of them so as to protect our city and people from them coming true.
