Luna Part 1 (Textiles for the End of the World), 2025
fabric scraps, tulle, and circular decorative shells length: 17" wide" 15" depth: 2"
Luna is a hand-sewn textile piece created from layered tulle, translucent discs, and fabric remnants. Left intentionally unfinished, the work explores themes of transition, fragility, and emotional uncertainty. Inspired by the phases of the moon, Luna reflects the artist’s experience of being in process—personally, creatively, and as an immigrant rebuilding identity. Its slow, intuitive construction honors the beauty of imperfection and the quiet resilience found in making by hand.
