White Eco Printed Scarf, 2022

Eco printed silk satin 14" x 70"

Eco printing always surprises me! Opening up silk that has been steamed for hours to reveal the results of what nature is capable of, is just like opening a special gift!

Dublin’s Soul, 2022

Hand dyed cotton, mono printed paper on wood panel 24" x 36"

Embedded in the sidewalks of Dublin are glass blocks which are meant to give light below the surface - Dublin's soul. Having been there for years, perhaps centuries, they now have been weathered and worn - much like our own surface that protects what lies beneath - our soul. Each "glass block" has been mono printed to recreate of the effects that the glass has endured.

At the Corner of Haight and Ashbury, 2022

Hand dyed silk and cotton, wood panel, copper 18" x 36"

One of my most vivid memories of San Francisco was at the corner of Haight and Ashbury where there was a wooden utility pole that was covered in rusty staples from posting messages and events over the years. The beauty of the random staples and bits of paper that clung to them was so interesting.

Sacred Water, 2022

Dyed Rayon with Hammered and Patina on copper on wood panel 12" x 24"

I love the mysterious quality of this hand dyed fabric. I am a metalsmith and often used recycled copper in my work. I feel that the contract of the hard metal and the soft fabric play well with each other.

Falling Peonies, 2021

Eco Printed silk chiffon on textured wood panel 12" x 24"

I love the process of eco printing where nature provides unexpected and beautiful results. Silk, often thought of as being fragile, is represented in a much stronger sense when attached to something solid and viewed not as a piece of fabric.
