Pyrrha Headdress Prototype, 2022
Rice noodles, Rice wraps, Snow Fungus, Ornamental Kale, Seagrass, Reed, Twine 18"H X 14"W X 12"D
Prototype for a short film about floods. I look for organic matter, found in wetland environments that I can transform into provocative and sustainable ornamentation. As living organisms, both rice crops and fungi are part of the mutually beneficial symbiotic relationships found in wetland ecosystems.
