Wool, linen, cotton, rayon, silk, glass 56.5x61"
This work brings together an interest in forms found in nature. Fish in an aquarium in Eilat, Israel, plant forms, and the rich latticework discovered on a close up of a butterfly wing all inspired this tapestry.

Coloring Outside the Lines, 2023
Wool, linen, cotton, rayon, silk 36x44"
This work was influenced by the Color Field painters such as Rothko, Frankenthaler and others. I was attempting to create a woven field that emulated an open field of painted space. Using analagous hues pushed the concept.

flutterby, 2018
Cotton, linen, rayon, silk, beads 30x40"
Some works are inspired by the organic latticework of butterflies, observed in Brasil, the Amazonian rainforest, and butterfly gardens in Africa, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Washington, DC. The beautiful structure of the butterfly, the rich color, the contrast of line and lively organic shape offer infinite design potential. Butterflies represent progressions found in nature, designs ranging from orderly to fluid, from complex to formal symmetry. Patterns create elegant, lively tension. While grids offer structure, organic grids, like curvilinear labyrinths, impose structure upon the abstract. From the desert to the rainforest, from bustling color filled markets to elegant breathtaking butterflies, design sources are ubiquitous. As artists we pick and choose, layer, collage, synthesize and weave it into a tapestry revealing interplay of pattern, surface and color.

Arrived, 2025
Wool, linen, cotton, rayon, silk 29x48"
My newest work explores color and movement. Shape and perspective, including forms moving in space and overlaping shapes and planes interests me. While weaving cloth, the abstract expressionism movement in art is resonating strongly with me at this juncture. Creating depth, while using strong contrasting hues, including a range of warm and cool colors is part of the objective here. These works were produced on a four harness floor loom using a linen warp and weft comprised of wool, silk, cotton, and rayon yarns. I hope I have also created and conveyed a feeling of joy.

Delineations, 2023
Wool, linen, cotton, rayon, silk 48x40"
Delineations was inspired by a photograph shot in northern Israel of a marble step. The organic latticework was exciting to me visually. I added warm and cool hues to play with movement.
