To be sustainable, fashion industry must be also ethical. It is 10 years since the Rana Plaza disaster and still many fashion workers work in dangerous conditions and are poorly paid. This quilt supports the campaign of @labourbeindthelabel to improve the conditions and empower fashion workers.

This work has been made to draw attention to the injustices faced by those who travel across the English Channel in small boats to seek asylum in the UK. the majority of those requesting asylum are granted refugee status, or some other form of protection. There is a better way that removes the need for crossing in small boats: provide the opportunity for people to apply for asylum in the UK much closer to their home country..
