Crafting Community- Call for Artists

Surface Design Association Exhibition in Print Call for Artists

Surface Design Association is celebrating our 40th anniversary with Crafting Community: SDA 2016 Inaugural International Exhibition in Print, and we are so very excited to invite you to join us! We want to showcase the breadth and depth of contemporary artists and designers working working with or inspired by fiber and textile materials and techniques. Selected work will appear in print in the winter 2016 issue of Surface Design Journal.

We encourage you to submit work that challenges and expands the contemporary definitions of textile and fiber based art and design. With media like digital art, sound and video, performance, conceptual art, land art, installation, book art, textile design, fashion design, interior design, product design, and craft as social practice- pretty much everything that demonstrates the innovative use of textile media.
