Catherine Armbrust is the director of the George Caleb Bingham Gallery on the University of Missouri Campus. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the University of Missouri & University of Missouri, Kansas City Art Departments, and teaches Fibers at Columbia College (Columbia, MO). Most recently, Armbrust’s mixed media work most often conflates biological and cultural themes in the forms of costumes, dioramas, collages, soft sculpture, and installations. In that work she channels a Rococo spirit to parody human methods of collection, ornamentation, pleasure, play, and seduction.
C. Pazia Mannella is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Fibers and the Fibers Program Head at the University of Missouri. She exhibited work in Extreme Fibers: Textile Icons and the New Edge, Muskegon Museum of Art, Muskegon, MI and The Dennos Museum Center, Traverse City, MI. Mannella’s work has been featured in many national exhibition as well as at Urban Outfitters Headquarters and Snyderman-Works Galleries. Her work has been featured several publications including in the Canadian Weekly Fibre Artist Interview: World of Threads Festival, Dutch Textiel Plus magazine, US Airways Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Weekly, and Philadelphia: Home. Manella is a board member of Surface Design Association.
