Image Statement: It is so important that we explore ways to coexist in harmony with nature. As part of my practice, I walk the wrack line of the beach, collecting debris. I transform this material into artwork that creates conversations about the interconnectivity of our human actions. This Phoenix rises from its nest of debris, raising awareness of the consequences of polluting our ocean, highlighting the urgency to address this ecological crisis. Together we have the power and knowledge to rise above the environmental challenges that we face. We must all take action and rise from the ocean’s embrace just like a Phoenix!
