Image Statement: My newest work explores color and movement. Shape and perspective, including forms moving in space and overlaping shapes and planes interests me. While weaving cloth, the abstract expressionism movement in art is resonating strongly with me at this juncture. Creating depth, while using strong contrasting hues, including a range of warm and cool colors is part of the objective here. These works were produced on a four harness floor loom using a linen warp and weft comprised of wool, silk, cotton, and rayon yarns. I hope I have also created and conveyed a feeling of joy.
