Materials: hand dyed and printed silk, commercially dyed dupioni and woven silk, serged silk and wool remnants crocheted. Cotton and silk and wool threads
Dimensions: 16w X 16"H
Image Statement: This woven and heavily embellished image began as two separate surface designed pieces torn down and woven together. The cloche shape began to appear after they were woven and the crocheted serger remnants were applied. Additional dupioni was woven into the surface and was augmented with hand stitching. The visual rhythm captures the jazz that was popular with cloche hats in the 1920s.
